Employee Spotlight: Brianna LaPreta – The star that keeps things moving
When stepping into the Optima Global Solutions office, one is greeted with a kind and reassuring voice. That voice belongs to Brianna LaPreta, the Administrative Assistant and Office Manager who has been instrumental in keeping Optima moving forward for over two years.
Graduating from Montclair State University in 2022 with a Bachelors in Humanities and a Minor in Music, LaPreta is no stranger to the dynamics of leadership and has a storied reputation of dynamic work: serving in various board positions through Theta Kappa Chi, recruiting for large firms and engagements, and more. At Optima, however, LaPreta gets to take all these experiences and make her own mark, leading to a fulfilling learning experience.
“I support leadership and HR functions, manage office operations, and handle onboarding and day-to-day administrative needs” says LaPreta. “Because Optima is a (well-established boutique) firm, I wear many hats and take on many responsibilities, which makes my role both dynamic and rewarding.”
When talking about what she likes best about working at Optima, LaPreta immediately emphasized the supportive team environment where everyone is “collaborative, and leadership values each employee’s contributions.” LaPreta also enjoys the variety of work she does, with no two days being the same; full of challenges, while receiving the guidance and encouragement.
“One challenge I faced was learning how to balance competing priorities while also taking on new responsibilities outside of traditional administrative work” said LaPreta. “Leadership at Optima has been very supportive, giving me both guidance and independence. Their encouragement and trust have helped me grow more confident and capable in my role.”
Outside of work, LaPreta takes her dynamic and rewarding experiences and channels them into a variety of different activities including spending time with family and friends, trying out new recipes and exploring new restaurants and places to visit, discovering unique cuisines and leaning how to make it on her own.
“Recently, I discovered KPOT, a Korean BBQ and hot pot restaurant, and loved the experience so much that I’ve started recreating it at home” said LaPreta. “I now visit a local Korean market in Princeton to pick up fresh ingredients and make my own Korean BBQ and hot pot meals, which has become one of my favorite ways to spend time with loved ones.”
As for the future, Brianna hopes to continue building her career, developing her leadership skills, and taking on bigger challenges. “My goal is to keep learning and growing while making a meaningful contribution wherever I can,” she says.
